A stronger commitment to training in music professions and empowering young people in CCIs
From February 20 to 23, Kajou took part in the Dakar Music Expo DMX 2025, a must-attend event for African and international music industry professionals. Alongside strategic partners of theAfrican Urban Music Campus (AUMC) such as the Goethe-Institut, and key players in the ecosystem such as EUNIC, theNGO GLOBE and theInstitut Français, Kajou reaffirmed its commitment to music education and the empowerment of young talent.
One of the highlights of Kajou 's participation at DMX 2025 was an exclusive panel discussion with Ndongo D, member of Daara J Family and head teacher at theAfrican Urban Music Campus. The panel highlighted the importance of training in the urban music professions and the impact of new technologies in facilitating learning and access to knowledge.
During this exchange, Ndongo D shared his expertise and vision on the transmission of musical knowledge to younger generations, stressing the need for a pedagogical approach adapted to the realities of the sector. He also highlighted how the AUMCprogram, accessible via the Kajou app, enables young artists to acquire essential skills in songwriting, digital marketing, sound design and career management.
