2023 was an exceptional year of growth and social impact for Kajou, the social enterprise created by the NGO Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, consolidating its status as an innovative player in the field of digital education in West Africa and worldwide. The year was marked by major projects in Senegal (revision of the baccalaureate, offlining of the Ministry of Professional Training's digital education platform, etc.), Côte d'Ivoire, Burundi and Congo.

2023 also saw the launch of a content production studio in Dakar and the introduction of new features to the application, notably the Kajou Learning Management System, which supports both online and offline micro-learning modules. These advances have contributed to increased use of the application, with over 3 million pieces of content consulted!

Kajou's success is measured not only in terms of user engagement, but also by its its profound impact on education and the professional sector.

  • 92% of students using the application see their grades improve, and
  • 75% of professionals successfully apply the knowledge acquired via Kajou in their work environment.

The outlook for 2024 is just as promising, with the launch of ambitious projects such as kSANTÉ, a digital training program for 5,000 healthcare workers in Côte d'Ivoire, and the evolution of the French language learning application, now called Karibu. In Senegal, Kajou will be deployed in the next few weeks on BRT buses in Dakar!
