Kajou, in partnership with Coopération luxembourgeoise (LUXDEV) and in collaboration with the group Daara J Family, officially launched the African Urban Music Campus (AUMC) on December 05, 2024 at the Cinéma Pathé Dakar.
Faced with the educational and professional challenges affecting a large proportion of West African youth, where over 91% of Senegalese have never received any vocational training, theAfrican Urban Music Campus is positioned as an innovative and concrete response.
The program offers free training, with no diploma prerequisites, in the professions of urban music and the cultural and creative industries (CCI).
An initiative supported by renowned experts and artists
Accompanied by renowned artists such as Ndongo D, Faada Freddy, Selly Raby Kaneand other experts, theAfrican Urban Music Campus aims to train 10,000 young people over a three-year period.
This training will provide them with a wide range of skills in writing texts, Career management, Branding, Sound design, Digital marketing and other urban music professions.
Training is available only on the Kajouapplication, offering off-line access to all the resources in the 10-module course.
