Schneider Electric, through its solidarity fund Schneider Electric Energy Access (SEEA), participated in Kajou's first fundraising.

Schneider Electric Energy Access (SEEA), the solidarity investment vehicle of Schneider Electric, leader in the digital transformation of energy and automation, has announced its participation in Kajou, a company that works to distribute educational content to populations with little or no Internet access. SEEA has contributed €300,000 in convertible bonds to complete the €1 million round of financing completed in early 2022 with Phitrust, Colam Impact, Hippolyte Capital and business angels.

Thanks to this fundraising, Kajou wants to give 3 million people with little or no Internet access the means to get information, educate themselves and develop their professional activity thanks to customized content with a strong social impact.

"This investment allows us to reaffirm Schneider Electric's desire to work towards better access to education and training, while supporting a young and dynamic team in the development of its wonderful project. By giving access to educational content to populations far from the networks, Kajou undeniably offers an innovative solution to the digital divide." Christophe Poline, Director of Solidarity Investments at Schneider Electric.
