Content available offline, all the time!

We created Kajou to provide a solution to one of the great challenges of our time: how to deliver quality digital content, information and training resources to the half of the world's population that has little or no internet connection.

Data is too expensive, bandwidth is low or non-existent, there is little content available in the local language, there is a lack of digital skills to navigate and find information... There are many reasons for lack of connection. At Kajou, we create technologies to remedy them.

KAJOU CARD
The card that turns your smartphone into a media library!

class="lazyload

The Kajou card is inserted into the smartphone's microSD slot and gives access to thousands of thousands of preloaded contents, without the need for an internet connection. It can hold up to 32GB of content in any form: videos, html, epub, MOOCs (scorm / Moodle format), etc.

Light to distribute, inexpensive and easy to update, the Kajou card is a great tool to distribute content on a large scale in areas with poor connectivity or to reduce recurrent internet connection costs.

Multiply your impact with viral sharing of content!

Kajou is designed to facilitate sharing without a connection. Thanks to the app, users can share the content they like, via Bluetooth, with their loved ones.

For a distributed map, the number of new users of the app is estimated at 5. These new users of the app become part of the community of users of the map and can receive notifications and interactions sent by Kajou.

This allows you to multiply the impact of your project. For example, by distributing Kajou cards to community leaders, it is possible to reach thousands of people who will receive content.

Messaging and engagement permanent interaction with the user, even without a connection

Once the cards have been distributed, Kajou offers the possibility of collecting usage data and creating engagement sequences with users (the users of the card and those with whom the content of the card is shared).

The data is collected, anonymised and aggregated by Kajou in line with the European regulation on the protection of personal data (RGPD).

Interactions with users are multiple:

MESSAGES / NEWS

Push articles (with the possibility of integrating images, sounds, videos, etc.) with notification

SURVEYS & TESTS

Surveys or tests with multiple questions to interview users and make regular impact assessments.

EVENTS

Triggering of customised events in the app or in the map. For example: appearance of previously hidden content in the map.

UPDATES

Push of a map update link when the user is connected to the internet.

Interactions can be addressed to all users of a map or to specific cohorts, determined by user usage and behaviour.

Thanks to our augmented connectivitytechnology, even without access to the internet, users receive Kajou notifications by SMS. The system pushes the messages via the internet as a priority and resends them by SMS if the user does not receive them after a defined period.

The Kajou teams work alongside you to build engagement sequences that correspond to your project, your needs and your impact objectives!

Remote update Keep your users up to date with map updates!

The Kajou cards are updated via the Internet or local servers installed at our partners and distributors.

Wherever possible, we create regular, smaller updates to make them easier to download.

CLOUD KAJOU
Online content for the most connected

With the Kajou app, users can, when they have an internet connection, access Kajou maps available in the cloud. Access to these maps can be open to all or restricted to specific user cohorts, free or paid.

The Kajou cloud is a great online complement to the Kajou cards!

KAJOU SERVER
The local wifi content hotspot

The Kajou server creates a local wifi hotspot (not connected to the internet). Users connect to the wifi network and, thanks to the Kajou app, access the pre-loaded content. The servers are particularly interesting to implement in places where the public is "captive" (public transport, waiting rooms, etc.) or in educational contexts.

Kajou offers different servers depending on the deployment context and needs. All of them use the OLIP (Offline Internet Platform) technology created by Bibliothèques Sans Frontières and the Offline Internet Consortium, the result of 14 years of development of offline internet solutions in difficultcontexts.
