TAILOR-MADE CONTENT

Founded by the NGO Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, Kajou shares a common philosophy of the importance of sourcing and promoting locally created content.

To do this, Kajou collaborates with a large number of content creators and publishers in the countries where it is established. Kajou remunerates the rights holders and supports creation through the acquisition and creation of specific content.

Above all, Kajou offers to integrate your content, whateverthe format. Most of the time, the maps are composed of a mix of content from partners and resources directly proposed by Kajou.

EDUCATION

Kajou is a great tool for education from primary to university level, but also for teacher training and support.

We work alongside ministries of education and vocational training and NGOs to deliver offline educational content to areas with poor internet connectivity. We can integrate any type of content on Kajou maps and servers, including MOOCs and scripted learning paths in SCORM or Moodle format.

Sequence of engagement and interaction technology allows you to stay in touch with your students and assess them on a regular basis.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE BACCALAUREATE
Senegal | 1,000 cards

The NGO Bibliothèques Sans Frontières has deployed 1,000 Kajou cards to high school students in the suburbs of Dakar. The programme includes more than 800 lessons from the Senegalese baccalaureate curriculum on video! This pilot project, which is currently being evaluated, is a precursor to a scaling up with the Senegalese Ministry of Education.

FLEMERIC
Cameroon | 1,000 cards

The French Institute of Cameroon uses Kajou to disseminate training resources for teachers of French in the English-speaking areas of the country. The map also includes a lot of pedagogical content to use in class!

HEALTH

Kajou makes it possible to disseminate health promotion and prevention content widely and without an internet connection in the most remote areas. We work alongside health institutions and civil society to create local language outreach tools that meet the needs of the field. The technology of engagement and interaction sequences allows us to deliver messages continuously to the population and in a targeted manner according to many criteria (location, type of user, etc.).

It is also a very interesting tool to support the training of health professionals. Thanks to the rich video content and the possibility of integrating courses with tests and certificates, Kajou can be used as a complement to face-to-face training or as a self-training and skills upgrading tool for professionals in post.

AGRICULTURE & LIVESTOCK

Kajou is now widely deployed to support the training of agricultural professionals and, more generally, to strengthen the population in rural areas. These populations are often very far from the Internet and lack the digital skills to search for information that would allow them to increase the profitability of their land or improve the quality of their soil.

Kajou works with experts in the creation of agricultural content in local languages (such as Access Agriculture) to provide tutorials and turnkey content on subjects such as horticulture, livestock, crop conservation and transportation, and product processing. The vast majority of the content is in video format to facilitate understanding and appropriation by people with low literacy skills. In the most remote areas, the programme can be accompanied by the distribution of tablets or smartphones to facilitate access to the content.

EMPLOYMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Kajou is a powerful training and information tool to promote entrepreneurship and employment in a given territory, especially among young people.

In these sectors, a video tutorial to improve one's CV or a series of short courses on starting a business can have a rapid and decisive impact on professional integration and business start-up. Kajou works to select relevant content, in local languages, in the countries of intervention alongside entrepreneurs, NGOs and national employment and entrepreneurship promotion agencies.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EMPLOYMENT COALITION
SENEGAL | Pilot of 2,000 cards

In conjunction with Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, with the support of Google and in partnership with Senegalese employment and entrepreneurship stakeholders (in particular: ADEPME, DER, ANPEJ, 3FPT, FONGIP, FONSIS, ADIE and the Senegalese Youth Consortium), Kajou has created a map of more than 500 contents for training, finding a job or starting a business.

It is composed of tutorials, practical guides, videos and turnkey resources to support young people in their journey towards employment or the start of their activity. Distributed from January 2022 in the employment agencies and the DER and ADEPME relays, these pilot cards are being evaluated before their possible scaling up..

COMMUNITY MOBILISATION

Kajou is a great tool for disseminating information and training resources to people, especially in remote and poorly connected areas.

For example, Kajou offers progressive display of content on maps (for example, every day a new video is available and a notification informs the user) to bypass the costs associated with sending SMS and to offer richer content. Even completely offline, the Kajou app continues to be interactive and to offer a rich experience to users.

Furthermore, in order to rationalise costs, Kajou cards can be distributed to community leaders who then relay the content. Generally speaking, for each card distributed, the number of new users of the app is estimated at 5. These new users of the app become part of the cohort of users of the card and can receive the notifications and interactions sent by Kajou.

This allows you to multiply the impact of your project. For example, by distributing Kajou cards to community leaders, it is possible to reach thousands of people who will receive content.

COMPANIES AND EMPLOYEES

Kajou works with a large number of companies in the context of training their employees or their stakeholders (for example a network of franchisees or the employees of a supplier) but also in the context of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.

Kajou offers a very efficient cost/user ratio that allows you to reach your stakeholders quickly and effectively even in white areas.
